Works right out of box.
You are probably saying two days is not enough time to write a review for the Galco Ankle Glove / Ankle Hoster for Glock 26, 27, 33. It may be comforting to know that in your search for an ankle hoster to know I have never worn an ankle hoster in my life. I have gone strictly by reviews, I have even read reviews for other ankle hoster brands where people stated spend a little more money on a Galco Holster, you will never regret it. This is so true, most of the reviews suggested buying a calf strap for an extra $19 and change, please do this you will also not regret spending a little extra for a calf strap. I carry a Glock 27, which is a pretty hefty Glock, fully loaded, so I truthfully had my doubts that the Galco Glove ankle hoster would work even after reading all the nice reviews. After I received my Galco Glove in the mail and opened it I noticed the material appeared to be top of the line and strong with a comfotable furlike padding that goes against your leg. The holster had a very tight fit on my Glock 27, after a few in and outs the holster fit perfect and was still tight. The material the holster is on stretches around your ankle and fastens with velcro, let me say to stretch this around your ankle takes some muscle, this is no cheap material. I'm a pretty big person, I wear a size 42 x 32 regular fit Wrangler jean. My Glock and the holster are completely concealed. My first test was wearing the holster, gun in place, all day looking for a friend that didn't check in with family. The second day was my biggest test, going shopping with my wife and trying to keep up with her in a supercenter store. My biggest fear at first use was what if this thing falls off in the middle of a crowd of people. After I realized that it wasn't going to fall off I was aware that it was there but it also felt comfortable. After I got over all those initial fears most of the time I didn't think much about it at all. I am a retired over weight healthcare worker that has no problems concealing during the winter months with a coat or jacket, but in the summer months I have no place to conceal a weapon so the Galco Ankle Glove is perfect for me, and let me say what other reviews said to me. If you don't spend the little extra money on a Galco I really think you will regret it. Before I forget let me add Amazon did a great job getting my Galco Glove to me promptly.

Just What the Doctor Ordered!
I own several different types of conceal holsters for various situations and dress. Although I love my IWB hybrid holster for occasions when I will be on my feet a lot, the hybrid allows the exposed butt of my gun to dig into my side when seated for extended periods of time in cushioned seats like a car seat, movie theatre seat, recliner, etc. I mainly bought this holster for periods of prolonged seating and when I can't wear cover clothing for my midsection. After I received it, I immediately put it on as directed and holstered my Glock 27, with a fully loaded magazine, and wore it for a trial few hours. With the weight of the gun, I'm glad I ordered the calf strap, it helps tremendously to keep everything in place. The holster fit nicely because I mostly wear regular low top shoes. I especially liked that it disappeared under my slacks. No one can tell that I'm wearing something on my leg unless the pant leg draws tight. I found that it rides best positioned just behind the ankle bone. After an overnight break-in, the leather holster draws nicely. Like any holster, your going to be aware that your wearing it, but this holster rides comfortably and the only thing your really aware of is the weight of the gun. I really like this holster for why I bought it! The only reason why I rated it a 4-star is because, in my opinion, its a little bit pricey for what you get. However, the price should not detour anyone from purchasing this holster. Its well build, comfortable and user friendly! After using the holster for several months, it has quickly become my favorite conceal holster of choice. Its extremely comfortable to wear for prolong periods of time and stays in place when walking. To-date, no one has been able to tell that I'm wearing it. To draw my weapon, I simply grab my pant leg just below the knee and pull upward exposing the holstered handgun. The secret to conceal carry is the camouflage clothing worn. I don't wear special clothing advertising that I may have a weapon on my person, thus, people don't expect me to have one. Regular clothing is my camouflage. Deception is the key to buying reaction time for drawing an ankle holster. Nobody knows or suspects what I may have until its too late. Honestly, I carry my handguns without a round in the chamber for safety reasons. In practicing drawing, I am able to rack in a round while drawing all in one motion as quickly as I can draw a handgun with a chambered round - but, to each their own. If someone physically attacks at close range, I am skilled enough to deflect the physical attack giving me time to draw my weapon.

You can sleep with it on!!
I live in a four season state. I started carrying 13 years ago when it became legal here. A Glock 26 was my choice. Didn't like an IWB type, and settled on a Don Hume for my belt. The Don Hume is a magnificemnt OWB holster as long as you have a shirt on or a T shirt. I wear suspenders, so a T shirt over it won't work in the summer. There were times when it was too hot to wear a shirt over it, so I left it home. Had to come up with a year round holster. Reading the reviews on the Galco I ordered both the Ankle Glove and the Calf Strap together. I'm right handed, but I ordered a left hand holster so it would be on the inside of my right leg with the butt facing to the rear. It works like a charm. Why did I do this? Well if you aren't aware of your surroundings and whats going on around you so you have a gun in your hand when you need it, it makes no difference where you carry it because it will still be in its holster! Anyway, I put this on in the morning after I put my socks on and actually forget it is there. You would think a person would feel it, but the sheep skin must be the trick to this. It never moves!! The calf strap keeps it from sliding down. I wear jeans everyday and leather low cut shoes. It doesn't print and no one notices it. I have worn this for over three months now and can honestly tell you not to waste your money on anything else. I even left it on one night, put on my pajamas and went to sleep with it without knowing it was there. I know that's hard to believe, but try it when you get yours. I think I had worn it only three days when I tried sleeping with it! Also it is not hot in the summertime. This is an unbelievable design and it really works!!
