Q: Does this item come with calibration certificate?

Hello Antonio - there isn't a calibration certificate. Based on the various tests I've done the results make sense and the machine is highly responsive. This isn't what I would regard as a precision instrument, but for my purposes g it worked fine.

Hi, thanks for your question, there are 10 light source selections (L0 – L9) each having a unique calibration correction factor (multiplier). See the Light Source list below. The multipliers for locations L0 through L6 are fixed for the lighting types listed. Locations L7 through L9 are extra locations that the user can customize (with a multiplier from 0.001 to 1.999). L0: Standard incandescent light source L1: LED white daylight L2: LED AMBER (YELLOW) light L3: LED GREEN light L4: LED RED light L5: LED BLUE light L6: Not used L7~L9: Programmable User Custom Locations (preset to 1.00) if you have any questions, feel free to contact our technical support line at 866-477-3687 option 3

Q: Does this perform well in very bright conditions ( very sunny conditions) and in now light conditions?

I feel that the Extech LT40 LED does respond fairly well in very bright conditions. As I see it, the meter is designed to read environmental conditions, such as light coming into a building or space, or even on the exterior. If you need to read just the solar conditions (visible light) in an unobstructed open space or area there are better, but often higher priced, meters for that purpose. Nick M
