Q: Do they fit a 2014 f350 4x4

They should. They went on fine on my 2012 f350.

Q: These brakes are not labeled inner/outer. Does it matter which way they are installed? All 4 pads look identical.

I don't know what your application is but typically it doesn't matter. I put them on a 2019 Ford F250.

Q: Are these pads for the front or rear? Both descriptions give opposite positions

The front and rear are different he bought z36-1691 and z36-1680 he’s not sure which one was the front and which one was the rear. He said go on line to extreme and put the part number and it will let you know if it’s right for the front or rear and the model truck
