I don't know what you mean by "power connect", unless you mean a battery pack, which this tree does not have. You have to plug in the lights just like any other string of lights.

Q: how hard is it to shape the tree like the picture?

Patience is required. This tree is no harder or easier then any other tree. This picture does give the impression that the branches are fuller then reality. It is a good looking tree for the price.

Q: Can this tree be used with a rotataing tree stand

Works perfectly because the tree cord plugs into the rotating stand and the stand plugs into the wall
