I love to give gifts that have personal and sentimental meaning. This album became a large part of a significant birthday gift. Although it is labeled a photo album, I purchased it as a beautiful way to display stories written and sent to me by my stepmom's late big brother, whom she loved with all of her heart. The precious anecdotes were of his memories of the adventures he and his sister enjoyed together as they grew up in 1940's New England. He poured his heart and soul into these handwritten memoirs, and the love between brother and sister was evident. He was her protector; she was his little sidekick - and his heartfelt penned remembrances found a home in this gorgeous album and her heart. She cried as she opened the gift. The album presented itself as the perfect keeper of the treasures inside - and became one with the stories from the moment she saw it. I will always remember her reaction, first to the album and then as she read her brother's feelings held within the attractive leather covers of her gift. It could not have been more perfect and memorable. I remain completely thankful that I found this fine keepsake for our mom.

I bought this to put old black & white pictures of our family in. I wanted something vintage looking and this fits the bill perfectly. It is well made and the rings make it easy to view or add pages to. Great price, too. I love it!

Very nice

The product title specifically says the pages are self adhesive and they definitely are not. The pages are just thick black paper (which is listed in the description after further review but i just looked at the title).Otherwise this is a pretty album but I am so disappointed that the pages are not self adhesive.
