Q: Can you cut the netting to fit an odd shaped pond?

Yes the net will fit almost any shaped pond. My pond is a strange oblong shape; the net is very flexible and fits my pond nicely.

Q: Could this work as a vegetable netting to keep squirrels/birds out of my garden?

I don’t know why not...squirrels can likely gnaw through the mesh and birds can simply shove their beaks through the openings. But if you build a frame around the garden and have enough distance between the critters and their lunch...um sorry, your vegetables...it just might work. Cheap enough to give it a try.
