Pretty easy to install. Didn’t even need the instructions. Everything was pretty self explanatory. Why something like this doesn’t come factory installed is mind blowing. Our hood used to move with wind and was always scary on non divided highways. A semi would come from the opposite direction and the hood would move quite a bit. Finally one broke so we found these. The dealership wanted more money to replace one crappy rubber one then it cost to upgrade to these

Most of the paint has come off and they do not operate with out force. Save yourself some money and buy the knock offs they can't be much worse.

I find everything Hit and miss with Rugged Ridge of 4 purchased, I've had problems with 3 requiring replacement. first set i received had a broken bolt. the second set were very good. The instructions were awesome which was a pleasant surprise. I'm kind of sick of spending over $100 on Chinese made jeep accessories and finding the casting lines are not sanded before powder coating. it's a little detail but I'm not sure how these differ from the ali express knock offs ($100 cheaper) Do yourself a favour and purchase a universal joint set for your sockets. coupled with an extension , you can easily install without having to remove the grille. They absolutely remove the dreaded "hood flutter" at highway speeds. All in all, I'm happy with the look and functionality.

Well I got this product as well and unfortunately the paint lasted maybe two weeks! Taking them off and painting them myself because someone can't do it right the first time plus I don't see any signs of primer on them!! So if you get these hood hinges sand them prime and paint them yourself or buy a different product. .

The clamps are very well made and look great. Ots a tight fit but you don't need to take anything off in order to put the latches on. You need two Allan keys, a 13mm wrench and a 10mm socket
