Hip Peas Natural Hair Styling Balm/Gel/Pomade - Light Hold, 2 oz jar

This hair balm works great for kids! First off, it’s packaged nicely and has a good quantity. There is a nice light scent and it has a well mixed texture. I would like to emphasize this is a balm/palmade which if you have ever tried a palmade it’s not comparable to hair gel. A lot of people I’ve noticed who use this expect a palmade to last all day which is not the case for ANY brand. You will want to find a different product in general such as a gel if that’s your goal. This balm is easy to apply to hair, does not leave any residue and has a nice soft smooth finish that is durable for majority of the day. My son has very thick hair and a very bad cowlick in the front of his hair, this palmade is easy to apply and easily tames his hair. Outside of adult palmade and gels, this is the first kids balm we have tried and I will certainly be buying more of this in the future.

This stuff smells amazing! Keeps my sons hair in place enough, gave 4 stars because I thought it would hold in place longer or firmer but it’s a very very light hold, great for curls.

It took a us many product trials to finally fall upon Hip Peas and now it’s the only styling product we will use for our 3 boys’ hair. They are 7, 5 and 3, all with straight hair but a mix between one having coarse hair and the other two having baby fine hair and this product is very versatile working well for all 3 kids! It’s sticky but not a dry sticky that feels like that paste that balls up, it’s smoother and more pliable! The small isn’t overwhelming, it’s a sweeter almost candy smell but again you can’t even smell it unless you put your nose right up to the jar. I do wish it came with an option for more a noticeable clean scent though !! My favorite features are that it is free of chemicals, parabens etc and is cruelty free. This is a product we will likely subscribe too from now now on!

Our family is all natural and we don’t use things with synthetic ingredients. The smell is nice. Not greasy at all. Holds hair for a couple hours, but not all day. Good value for money. A little goes a long way.

Smells great! At first we didn't use a lot on my son's hair because we didn't know what to expect. It held for a short time. He has a lot of hair but his hair is fine and pin-straight, so it fell back into its natural state. We used a lot more product for picture day, just a basic comb-over style. It stayed together just in time for pictures first thing in the morning. By the afternoon it didn't look like he had product in his hair, but you can still feel it in his hair by running your fingers through it. So I'm on the fencepost because it holds momentarily, its fairly natural, not sticky, and smells great.

On my second tub. Highly recommend for toddlers hair. My son has long hair that I put into a manbun and this paste helps smooth it and keep everything in place! Smells light and clean. Doesn't have too hard of a hold and not sticky.

I've used this a few times on my baby boy's hair, and it's been great. It has a nice scent that isn't overpowering or girly. My son is 10 months old and has a fair amount of very straight that likes to stick up all over the place. I use this styling balm to spike it up, and it holds fairly well. It's not super strong hold like a gel, but it works well enough. Maybe if I used more in his hair, then I would get longer hold. I even used it in my hair one day to slick it back into a pony tail because normally i get little hairs that break free and stick out all over, and it worked really well for me all day. Overall I'm really happy with the product and will continue to use it.

I cannot recommend this product enough! I have sent this hair balm to so many friends. Clean ingredients, amazing smells and holds for several hours. My boys have thick hair and it holds nicely. Worth every penny
