The rug is nice light and fluffy. This is my 4th one that I purchased the past few years because they are difficult to keep clean. If you vacuum it, it's a guarantee that the rug will start to lose its fibers which results in bald spots. Definitely not recommended for anyone with pets because if they get sick such as vomit or soil the carpet you may as well throw it away due to the fluffiness the rug will dread up by hand cleaning it. This rug is only good for looks and the price is good. I also want to mention that the packaging has about a roll of saran wrap on it which there is no need for all that excess amount of waste.
