Q: It is a soft material or Hard

It's a combination of TPU plus silicon in black colour. In transperent version it's all TPU. So basically bit soft plastic when you opt for Transperent variant. The black variant has more like rubbery feel so it's flexible yet not very soft which offers really good protection to the watch body but doesn't cover the watch lugs.

Q: Does it also cover the screen, or do we need to buy a separate screen guard?

Screen guard must be purchased separately.
