These are not cheaply printed, these are high quality you can feel when you run your fingers over the artwork. I have mercilessly put these through the dishwasher and I have yet to see a chip or fading. These are cool modern classics.

We love this series of dishware. It is so beautiful! However upon opening we found the brown plate to have a very obvious scratch through the gold sun and bubbles on the gold ring. As other buyers mentioned the bowls also have a quite obvious line where the image meets and are much whiter than the plates that are more ivory. Funny now looking at the pictures they show the quality issue but you notice much more in person. The plates also wobble so it will be awkward to eat on. We likely would have still wanted to keep the set had it not had the scratch on the big gold sun. Upon trying to return the defective plates we were severely displeased to find that the only way to return the plates is to pay to ship them back to Great Britain at your own cost less a $20 credit. Shipping these plates will cost many times that. I am very disappointed that Amazon would allow such a thing and will be making a formal complaint to Amazon about this.
