Q: I can’t see how to use the air matters app which do I download?

Can be obtained from the Android or Apple apps. It does require internet access though to work and does not seem to be compatible with a VPN - why I do not know.

Q: What wall plug does it use, Eu-plug? or is it an uk one?

Q: Would it not be more efficient to plant a few trees or get some house plants rather than a plug in, power consuming device?

The NASA study in to purifying air with indoor plants was performed in a small sealed environment, with a lot of plants in, that was pumped with pollutants (ozone) once and then monitored the levels as the plants purified the air. However, in a house where the indoor air and outdoor air change regularly you would need over 100 indoor plants per room to replicate this and that's only if the pollutants were introduced into the house in one burst. So no getting a few houseplants isn't going to be as efficient as an air purifier :D. I guess its more energy efficient as its not using any electricity but then how much energy would it take to keep hundreds of plants watered and alive with enough light to survive all over the house.
