Used for mangos. Works really well.
We have a mango tree from seedling that has grown very big and produces a large mango variety. This net works wonderfully for my tree. The pole is long enough to reach a lot of the mangos and does a good job yanking them off the tree. It feels sturdy even when I extend it to max length picking all those heavy fruit. No wobble at all. I still need to get on the ladder for the highest parts of the tree while having this picker at the max length, but it is leagues better than the claw picker I have. When I go up and down the ladder, I love the mesh basket because I don't worry that the mango will drop out unlike the claw picker which I always have to keep in an upright position so the fruit doesn't fall out. It gets tiring picking all the high hanging fruit, but this has made it a lot easier. I think if you have light or small fruit, this will be good too. I recommend to get this if you have heavier fruit like mangos.

I can finally cherry pick and feel good about it
Unlike my days of pick-up hockey where cherry-picking earned me a derisive nickname, this tool is perfect for catching the top-dwelling cherries on our "dwarf" cherry tree--which is now over 30 feet tall. You can pull a couple dozen cherries down without returning to ground level to unload. The net is gentler than a plastic receptacle. and the flexible plastic "teeth" get your fruit without damaging it.It also works great on our peach tree--can get 2-3 big peaches off the top branches without emptying and doesn't damage the fruit.I've gone through a homemade picker, a steel-basket picker (sucks), and have finally landed on this one. It's really quite perfect.

Easy to use for picking/catching fruit
I use this basket in conjunction with a trimmer to pick pomegranates, guavas, oranges, you name it from the trees in our yard. Easy to maneuver, even when fully extended, for my small stature to grab and collect fruits.

Upgrading from 3 stars to 5 after more use.
The media could not be loaded. Originally rated it 3 stars because it doesn't "professionally" pick avocados. That is, when you pull the avocados down, it will often tear them off at the nub of the avocado. Commercially picked avocados are taken with clippers to leave a bit of stem attached to prevent the avocado from spoiling at that point. But for picking my personal backyard avocado tree, it has come in so handy to get the ones beyond the reach of my commercial picker and it's a lot cheaper than a 12 foot commercial picker. As I've gotten better using it, I've come to appreciate it more. The fact it tears off fruit at the nub isn't much of a problem for spoilage because I keep an eye on them at home and use them before any deterioration takes place. I can even use it to tear off small branches that are in the way of picking. It wouldn't do for a commercial avocado picking operation, but for home use, it's excellent, without having to pay over a $100 for a commercial picker. I'm sure it will come in handy, but not my go-to picker for avocados. Only the ones out of reach of the 9-foot pole.
