Impressive and direct replacement for Pontiac F-Body Monsoon
Shockingly impressive bass. Replaced factory speakers from firebird with Monsoon audio. Not going to win any awards but it will put a smile on your face knowing you have some bump and still using the factory amp.

Fit as sail speaker for our ‘98 Trans Am
Needed a replacement sub-woofer for Monsoon stereo sail speaker in our 1998 Pontiac Trans Am. Item fit well and came with new clips (but clips were not as strong/sturdy as the original OEM speaker clips). We did need to drill new guide holes in the speaker frame and drill a few new holes in the sail speaker mount but it was easier than we had expected. These speakers sound great and are an excellent price (we didn’t want to spend a lot). Bottom line is these speakers are great value for dual channel at ohms and size that we needed.

Bigger than 6 1/2 inch
The mounting was supposed to go to a 6x8 to 5 1/4 or 6 1/2 adaptor, but the subs are bigger than said adaptor. I had to build a custom box for two, but they sound great and don't take up that much room in the trunk

This woofer works well in 2006 Jeep LJ...but...
This woofer works well and fills out the music so it sounds so much better. You won't impress the street toughs with thumping bass at the traffic light, but it makes music sound so much better to my middle-age ears. When you turn the bass off and back on you realize how much better it sounds with a little bass. Now for the big "but". This speaker did not work when installing it directly like the old speaker with the four wires. I had to wire it in parallel to get it to work. Basically you only use two of the four wires from the amp and then attach two short jumper wires (pos-to-pos and neg-to-neg). There are plenty of simple pictures on google that explain it better than I did. I'm no expert, but I think the problem was the OEM speaker and amp are 2 ohm, and this speaker is 4 ohm. Wiring in parallel lowers this speaker down to 2 ohm.

I would look for something else
Got this to replace a jeep wrangler TJ console sub woofer, yes it will work but you will have to make a lot of modifications to the mounting and the console. This is sized much deeper than the original. Not the greatest construction the spider/voice coil came unglued from the basket very easily when I was trying to tighten the connector screws and I had to glue it back together. Sound quality is OK but nothing to get excited about, I would probably not purchase this one again.

Can fit GM trucks!
Bought this to try to replace a blown factory center console sub in Escalade to replace the oddball size 5.25ish factory paper woofer in the factory enclosure. All I had to fit this was slighty dremal out the stock hole with a dremal about a 1/4 inch and dremal down some nubs. I wish I could find a 2 ohm dvc model however using the 4 ohm wired direct like the old sub worked fine. It soundsbetter than before the stock was blown. I did not experiment to see if I could bridge to a 2 ohm load as I did not want to experiment with the stock amp with bridging. Overall I'm impressed and this is a great solution to replace a factory center console sub on GM trucks! Much tighter bass as well!

Eh
Tried replacing a dying subwoofer in my surround system. Initially it worked out but after a month it started sounding terrible. Ended up tossing it.

Seems very well made for the price.
Bought this as a replacement woofer for the Mark Levinson sub in my Lexus GX470. Modified the enclosure to fit this (original was 5.25" with foam surrounds and a paper cone), and after putting it all back together with a good bit of fiberfill in the sealed enclosure to give it a little more volume, it sounds great!I like that it came with little feet so you can work on the connections with the speaker face down. The rubber surround is quite beefy for a speaker this size, and the bass sounds nice and tight. Wired the voicecoils in series to bring the impedance up to 8 ohms (one of the main reasons for choosing this woofer) since I'm still using the stock amp.
