There was a fault in my coil pack.The black lead is grounded to the core of the coil and another contact from the core to the center tap on the cap. The fault is they painted the core the leads can’t make contact. I scraped the paint off of the top and bottom of the contact area. It works perfectly now.

I purchased this distributor to replace my points style distributor on my 1974 Chevy 350 K10 truck. It looks like a quality part and it installed with no issues. It fired right up in my truck and the idle and throttle response is like day and night compared to the factory points unit...What a HUGE difference! I couldn't be happier with it so far. I will do an update review after I run it for a while. I think BRAVE X has there stuff together. Very well packaged as well and next day delivery. The only thing I don't quite understand is the warranty, On the amazon description it say's 5 year/100,000 mile warranty but the card that came with my distributor says 2 years? I'm not sure what it is. But at any rate it's a nice looking part at a great price that performs perfectly! I would highly recommend to others... I purchased this in February of 2018 in my classic car. For the price it's hard to beat this vs a complete rebuild of an old one with many miles on it or most of the brand new ones you can get.Yesterday (9/17/19) the ignition module gave up on me. Confirmed this with a multimeter, infinite ohms across the green and white terminals. Replaced the ignition module with a parts store one ($30) today and that fixed the no spark issue immediately.I'm hesitant to leave a bad rating because like I said, for the money it's a steal and I can't say I didn't just lose the silicone lottery and end up with a dud module. All the same, shy of 2 years of service on something that doesn't get a lot of miles isn't impressing me all that much.Still worth a buy and I don't see a ton of other reviews calling premature failure out so I'm going to consider it bad luck. If other parts fail I'll update the review.Also, the canister on mine arrived bent where the vacuum port is. I didn't notice until I tried to tune the vacuum advance and realized I couldn't get the wrench in. I straightened it but it's still not perfect.

Distributor never worked. Saw reviews saying replace electronics so tried that. Replaced module, coil, cap and rotor with new name brand parts and truck still won't start. Replacement cap doesnt want to fit correctly so had to shave it down a little. Original cap wouldnt send spark down wires. Timing light shows erratic spark with original parts and new. Took to a shop and told magnetic pickup is bad and causing erratic spark issue. So now I have a bunch of new parts and nothing to put them on. Shaft is also loose in intake so it has room to wobble. I'm glad it worked for some but my experience is more in line with the bad reviews. Spent money on junk and can't return now
