Yes O ring was included. Hard to see in picture but it is there.

Q: I'm trying to convince my mechanic this is an actual idle control motor, correct? He stated they should run higer in price?

He needs to get over it. They do sell for much higher, but this thing actually works. I've been using it in a Mitsubishi lancer 1600cc very well for several months so far. If it breaks I'll buy another one.
