Q: is the paint durable and hard wearing

Hi Colin, I only buy this paint when it comes to painting my furniture. Its very think and the colour is exactly as you see it on the tin. I suggest you get the furniture Polish by Rust-Oleum which protects the paint. I have had no problems with it and love to use it.

Q: Would 750mls cover a small nest of tables?

It gives you a rich texture I don't know how big is your table but it covers mine 3door and 3 drawer console. It is quite big

Hi Good EveningThanks for you enquiry. The manufacturer doesn't make specific mention to melamine furniture, but I would think it nit much different to a factory lacquered piece of furniture. My advise would be to lightly abrade the surface I would suggest using something like a green scotch brite pad, this will apply very fine scratches to the surface without damaging the surface with deep scratches. I would then suggest you wipe the surface down with warm soapy water to remove pollutants and sanding dust.I would suggest also leaving the Chalk Paint to dry thoroughly as the longer allowed to dry and take on a full chemical cure the stronger it's adhesion to the surface, you may wish to finish with the Rustoleum Wax to seal the surface.Thanks Scott
