It takes 4 pumps to build up to remove stone have to make sure tongue is not in the way when trying to aim at stone gargle with peroxide and salt water will help to loosen stones.

I doubt it, it's not worth the money.

Q: Is it normal to leak from the bottom?

Yes. I own one but it leaks from the bottom only if there is liquid left over after use and its left upright on the counter. It does blast out tonsil stones. Make sure when locking in the mouthwash you tighten real good before pumping motion.
