I bought this stuff as a precaution having bought a new mountain bike. To get the slime into the tyre, the valve core has to be removed with the plastic tool supplied. I found this so easy I reckon with the appropriate training, a chimpanzee could do it. In fairness, though it is probably going to be quicker to do it yourself.Am I glad I got the slime? Damn right! Just a week after sliming up, I took my new bike on a ride through the local country park. I realised I wasn't as fit as I thought I was after 30 mins so rode back to the car. On getting the bike back in the house, I looked at the tyres and was horrified to find a large number of thorns in each tyre! I proceeded to remove the thorns and ended up with air hissing out all over the place. I was almost instantly left with two flat tyres.However!... After pumping up and spinning the tyre a few times and bashing the tyre hole side down, the slime eventually filled all of the rather nasty holes. It did take some perseverance as there were many, many holes. I now have two solid tyres again without the need to replace inner tubes. This stuff is awesome and well worth the money.

It works!
I purchased this to install in my new bike tyres and paid half the price of other online stores and high street retailers. I have previous experience of Slime with mixed results. It is very important to check the consistency of the fluid before trying to install it. If it looks fluid like and sloshes around the bottle then it is easy to install but if it’s thick and the bottle is hard to squeeze, forget it! I have purchased 4 bottles of Slime on a previos occasion, not from Amazon, and the consistency of the contents was different in all 4 bottles. I returned 3 bottles to the store because I couldn’t get it out of the bottle which they checked exchanged.Although Slime will prevent a flat tyre in most circumstances re inflation of the tyre will be required so a pump should always be carried.

Great for peace of mind- will make you slower
This stuff is great. It's the best sealant for standard inner tubes I've used. Seals quickly, you can see and hear where the puncture is and even works at high(ISH) pressures. It's easy for even the least mechanically minded person to use and install and the valve core tool in the lid is made of firm enough plastic to remove the core without grinding down.My wife has this in the tubes on her commute bike and hasn't had a flat in over 5 years. She loves it because she hates changing a tube by the side of the road and doesn't mind going a little slower.I won't touch it because it adds to rolling resistance, rotational weight and decreases the suppleness of the tyre, especially on corners. Basically, it'll slow you down by a few watts and I need all the help I can get. I also don't mind changing an inner tube on the rare occasion that I puncture.

This works fine, even on mountain bike tyres
I read many reviews saying that this is not good for mountain bikes. However, I noticed that the same amount of slime was being used in motorcycle tyres and thought that the surface area inside the tube would therefore not be too large within mountain bike tyres. I was right. It works perfectly so far after a month and with a puncture that the slime instantly repaired with no need for a traditional puncture repair patch. But I guess you have to follow the instructions. Don't just put the slime in the tyre and then leave it to stand. You must cycle around on it for about 30 minutes to make sure the layer of slime is distributed well within the inner surface of the inner tube. This is a good product that works well and I expect, will prevent problems from punctures in the future. I like it so much that I will install it on all three family bikes now. One more tip is to take care if you have Presta valves on your bike. But this problem is easily overcome if you just buy very cheap Schrader to Presta valve adapters that can easily be cleaned after the slime has been used inside them.

Don't think twice
Like many people, I always assumed that slime was snake oil but I couldn't be any more wrong.I have not used it as preventing a puncture but I have used it to repair one on my 26" fat bike wheel and it is holding together without any issues. I have little to no doubt now that slime would help should you get a puncture to the point you would only need to put air back into the tire.I would recommend anyone to put slime into their wheels and if you got a 26" one - I used half a tube per wheel and it seems to be fine!

Works but can be messy
This works a treat but can get messy. I would always have adult supervision.

it is a good product. It came with a schrader valve core ...
This is my second time using slime, it is a good product. It came with a schrader valve core remover (which is the black cap). To be honest, this 237ml bottle is really a lot. I am using it for filling four 200x50 tyres and so far no flats yet. Initially I have one of the schrader valve that is faulty, which leak air and the tyre would be flat after 2 day in storage. After filling with slime, I think the slime seem to have fill in the leaky valve and stopped leakage. It has been 4 weeks since I use it and so far not had a flat. Wonderful considering I can always reuse the inner tube and just change the outer tyre when it gets worn. I know there are other brand of similar products but this is cheap buying from amazon than from a brick and mortar. Shipping is very fast, only took 3 days to arrive with free delivery.
