Virgin Virgin v6 Media MINI V6 TiVo Remote Control

This replacement remote control works perfectly; I'm pleased with this purchase.

Delivered next day which was excellent considering our old remote wouldn’t work anymore. The remote comes ready with batteries which is good for the price paid. Highly recommended:) I had difficulty locating instructions on how to connect the new remote (even on the Virgin Media site) Found these instructions and the remote not only connected to the Virgin Media TiVo box, but I could use the new remote to control the sound on the television!!! Something I was unable to achieve with the old remote. Then enter your code and the light will flash green twice again.This will only control your volume and standby. (Not sure what they mean by that because I can turn the TiVo box on and off standby, volume on the TV and to operate channels on the TiVo box)

I tried to contact Virgin to order a new remote for my Hitachi TV, but could never get through either on the website or by phone.Decided to order a new remote from Amazon. I found that I didn’t mind having to pay for the new remote. The remote is brilliant. I am sure it is smaller than the original and more compact. It is lovely to hold. The + and - sound buttons have never worked on my previous TV remote since I had a TiVo box. I have to use the TiVo box to adjust the sound level - which is OK.

Nice replacement control easy to install quick delivery

No problems at all, it was well packed and the remote had a kind of shrink wrap around it too so unlike some reviewers it was as new and clean. It came with an instruction label for tuning in and literally took me seconds to do it. It also had batteries in already which surprised me.I have been looking for ages for a new remote as my old one was really playing up and you would press a button and get the wrong function, trouble was I couldn't find one that had the same buttons, it ever occurred to me to search for a sky remote before! Super happy with it.

Excellent as described

Popped the batteries in (AA not AAA as in info), pointed at TiVo box - red light on remote (batteries OK) and nothing happened. No instructions with new remote. Mr Google couldn't help. Recovered packaging with a view to returning but ...As luck would have it the old remote still mostly worked, just one or two buttons needing such a deep press that e.g. getting impossible to return to TV. So finally went to Virgin help screen on settings etc using old remote. No real info on pairing except for use with TV. Went through that routine involving various buttons on new remote and entering code 0999 at relevant time then Ch up repeated. Somehow this paired with the TiVo box - but never with the TV (Samsung). Am now back to the status quo with the TV remote still in use and the new TiVo remote seeming to be fully operational. Happy but I've no idea what made it work or what would have happened had the old remote not been available.
