Work great , filled my 300 gallon rain barrel in just two rain storms. This was much more rugged than I thought it would be, really good quality, and easy to install.

This diverter is thicker than what i anticipated and I'm happily surprised. Took me about 30 minutes to install. I will say I recommend that you add some some additional support straps to your downspout after installation because like I mentioned, IT IS HEAVY! 4 inch downspouts might not need it, but my 3 inch variety did.The shutoff valve is a nice feature, as some folks will undoubtedly want to stop the flow at times. Me, I just leave it open at all times and allow the excess water to run out of my barrel.

The instructions that come with the diverter falls a little short so you can refer to the Amazon listing for a more detailed summary. Over all an easy install if you have some hand power tools. A reciprocating saw made sort work of my gutter to cut out about an 8.5 in section as recommended. (Although I probably should've doubled checked the measurements for myself as 8 inches would've put it back closer to the original position.) We'll have to see how this does to divert water overall and how it will handle clogs which I hope won't be the case since we have gutter covers.

I am pleasantly surprised that such an affordable diverter is so well made. This will last a long time. It attached fairly easily , looks decent, fit well, and works flawlessly.

I now have 5 of these and they work perfectly.Just be careful with your measurements when you install it.Get your rain barrel set correctly. I build a strong stand our of 4x4's to raise eacg barrel about 30 inches off the ground.Then measure from the top of the barrel up to where you want diverter to be. Next mark the downspout where you want to cut I use a sawzall with a metal blade. It helps to have someone to help you hold the downspout why it's being cut.Re-assemble the downspout with the deverter installed. I use an old garden hose to attach the deverter to the barrel.One nice rainfall fills our up.

Really high quality product!! Works great and I like the additional downspout if I ever want to add another tank. Highly recommend!!

Installation was easy enough. Material is reasonably sturdy. I wish it would completely divert all the water into the barrel when the tap is open. There is still some going down into the gutter
