Q: What is the exact weight of the empty decanter? Riedel changed its production in 2016 (to make the decanter lead-free and lighter).

Very light. Maybe half a pound at most. It feels delicate but isn’t really. Really helps red wine come to full flavor

Q: Does this drip after pouring the wine in a glass?

Not in the beginning. The risk comes in when the wine level is low and one essentially has to turn the carafe upside down. For me, unless the pour is really slow, at the end the wine tends to circle the rim and can easily spill or drip.

Q: How do you dry the inside? Drip drying on a stand leaves water marks.

Just drip dry. Yes, small amounts of water accumulate and the needs to be emptied but it eventually dries well enough without water marks. We do not stand it upside down
