Really looks like a sleeping pup. Only improvement coul be for ears to be made in slightly different fabric. My mum in law had dementure and loved this pup, kept her company and lovely to feel it breathing. Fantastic for anyone who wants a dog close by, but can't keep a real one.

This dog looks very lifelike. I bought it for my mum who has dementia for when she is anxious. She loves it and sits with it on her lap every day.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my mother, who has severe dementia. It is smaller than I'd hoped but acceptable. The dog's collar wasn't properly fixed and quickly (in 5 minutes) came loose. The whole thing is a bit hard and lumpy, although certainly looks cute enough and is soft and smooth to stroke. It has a hard flat base to enable it to lie in the provided bed, this is where the batteries go in, to enable the "breathing" function, which I have not yet tried. It seems to me that it's more ornamental than a traditional cuddly toy.

I bought this for my mother, who has dementia, for Christmas 2018.She is living in a care home, and had been complaining that she would love to have a little cat or dog. I chose this one because it had good reviews.At first she couldn't understand why it never opened its eyes. She refused to be convinced that it wasn't alive. But she was happy that she didn't need to feed it, and it didn't yap or bite.Her care home had to stop her taking him to bed with her, because he would end up underneath her pillow, and that was being a naughty dog. But he still sleeps beside her bed.A few months later, I was visiting her one day, and she said "I don't know where he came from."I told her that I had given him to her and she said "Oh, how could you bear to part with him?"I knew then that the gift had been a real success.At the time of writing, September 2019, my mother, who is 94, still loves this little dog. She calls him Ginger. She can't remember that she was ever married or had children, but she remembers Ginger's name.

Exactly as described. Batteries are still going strong! Very realistic too. My daughter loves it.

Bought for mum with Alzheimer's who carries it around intermittently. The other ladies in her care home love it too. Quite small and hard but I would buy again
