Very Light with a Cool Viking Inspired Design but a Bit Too Thin
The ring slides on my finger with ease, feeling very smooth on the interior but unfortunately a size 12 is a bit too big for my fingers even though my other chunky steel rings are also a size 12 and fit fine.I think because this ring is a bit thinner and lightweight its not as much of a tight fit so I would maybe suggest getting a size slightly smaller than what you would expect. For the size, the ring feels too light and it isn’t quite as chunky as I thought it would be but the design is very cool and Viking inspired.Comes in a black velvet pouch that will go to land fill once the ring is on someones finger but makes it look more gift worthy.

A lighter shade of silver than the promo images made it seem
The preview photos made the ring look darker than it actually is - the background is a lighter grey so it doesn't provide as much contrast compared to the motif so it doesn't stand out as much. The craftsmanship is excellent, the ring is smooth and has a great design throughout. It's quite thick as well, and has an internal diameter of 0.7" (though that will of course vary depending on the size you choose). It arrives in a black pouch so it's highly giftable as well, I'm quite pleased with it apart from the colour.

An Inspired Blend of Celtic and Nordic Art
I already have a Vegvisir pendant (which I like a lot) by this manufacturer, so when I saw this ring (which features a compass based on Vegvisir, but completely symmetrical, unlike Vegvisir) online I knew what to expect: solid stainless steel with an embossed design and an aged effect (blackening, probably done with liver of sulphur) applied to the recessed parts, resulting in a piece of jewellery that looks like it has been around for a long time. The ring is beautifully crafted. The pseudo-Vegvisir centrepiece looks striking. The original Vegvisir symbol originated in Iceland but was adopted across all Nordic countries. It looked symmetrical at first glance but closer inspection showed that each of the "points" had unique features. The design on this ring, whilst resembling Vegvisir in many ways, is 100% symmetrical, with all compass points identical. Vegvisir was originally created as a magical stave designed to prevent the wearer from losing his/her way in storms or rough weather. It was also common for ships to bear the Vegvisir stave, which in that capacity was known as a Wayfinder: a talisman to guide vessels safely through rough seas. In modern times this is still why the original Vegvisir stave and symmetrical "Viking compasses" loosely based on it appear on jewellery and clothing - to guide the wearer safely through rough times. Back to the ring, though. To the left and right of the compass are ravens with wings outstretched. These two ravens are facing each other. Behind them are Celtic knotwork designs. The detail is intricate, the craftsmanship impressive. The ring is an inspired blend of Celtic and Nordic art. That suits me perfectly, as my ancestry is Celtic and Nordic. At the current cost of £15.99, this piece of jewellery is excellent value for money.
