Absolutely love it!
I use this pan all the time. Great for pasta, blanching veggies before canning, large batches of soup. I like using it for making jam because it's deep and won't boil over. Heavy bottom and good heat distribution, so less worry about scorching. Would highly recommend.

This beats boiling pasta in a sauce pan.
The pots heats up fairly quickly given the large amount of water. We use it on an electric stove at 8.5. Once it starts boiling it goes to town. Rarely ever does it come close to boiling over. It will cook a several pounds of pasta easily. It is easier to clean than a colander with all the little holes and small parts. The only thing we have noticed is some splotching on the inside bottom of the pot. You can set the strainer part at an angle at the top of the pot to drain. Cooking pasta is easy.

Steamer-blanched pot
My hiusband burnt large holes in two other steamer pots I had. This one I got from Amazon is larger and does the job when I am canning. I love it. Needless to say, I don’t let him near this one.

Chicken soup anyone
Needed a replacement pot for soup making, pasta dishes and steaming crabs. Met all factors with fair price.

Perfect pasta pot
I had been using a big kettle for past. I was tired of using something that worked. I wanted the right tool. No more using a colander to strain the pasta, This is the right tool. It is also great for steaming and stews, and boiling shell fish. It also looks as great as it works.I was afraid it might be bigger than I need, but that has not been a problem.I don't work for the maker and I have not been paid for this review.

My favorite pasta pot
While a large skillet does fine for boiling a single serving of spaghetti or other pasta, this is great for larger servings. It drains quickly and you don't have to take the hot pan over to the sink to strain the pasta. It also comes with a steamer basket if you want to make steamed clams or other steamed foods.

Perfect Pasta for a large group
I've done several "Pasta Night" dinners for friends and family. When you need to cook a large quantity of pasta a cooker like this is essential. I can get several "batches" of pasta cooked without having numerous pots of boiling water going simultaneously. I can "reuse" the pasta water for 2 or 3 batches, just add a little to make up for evaporation and absorption and start another batch almost immediately. And no lifting of heavy pots of boiling water!
