LiquitexBASICS Acylic Paintbrush, Set of 6

I've used Liquitex for over 10 years, I used to own their professional collection of brushes. After moving and wanting to get back into painting, I didn't have my own brushes with me at my new place so I just decided to buy a cheap alternative before I go back to pick up my old stuff. These brushes are great and super budget friendly, I haven't had any issues with them and I'm sure that even after getting my old sets back that I will still keep these brushes in my collection.

I bought these for my wife who loves to paint. I expected the handles to have a bit more girth than they do, but my wife loves them, said they are easy to clean and do not lose their bristles. I think these might be best suited for oil painting, and definitely small details. But, my wife uses acrylics and has been able to paint what she wants with these just fine.

Brushes had a crazy hair day when they arrived. I washed them with soapy water to remove the protective layer that all brushes come with and then dipped the bristles in hot water for about 10 seconds each. I was able to reshape them. If you do that, do not insert the ferrule into hot water; bristles only. I use them for the underpainting abstract, so they don't need to be perfect.Before buying: there are three bundle choices, but all are pictured. It's not that hard.

I was surprised by these brushes. I have many more expensive brushes and these keep up with them. I purchased these to try them out and I will definitely pitched others from this line. These could work for beginners and professionals alike and are a great value.

Good quality, no splitting or shedding. Easy to paint with and the long handles made my life much easier. I have a hand tremor and smaller brushes make it difficult to get clean lines, but these were wonderful. They are quality compared to most of the brushes I've used in the past and seem like they'll last a lot longer. I'm hard on my brushes and these have stood the test of my work, where most brushes are shedding hairs everywhere or falling apart when I get done with them!

It's a really good deal for the price. They're not the best brushes but they'll do in a pinch. I've only used them once, so I cant attest to the durability, but they've held up fine after a vigorous washing. I like the variety of sizes included, good for detailed work. They're pretty small so don;t expect to use this on bigger paintings. The thing I don;t know about this is that they don;t pick up very much colour, you have to keep loading the brush every few strokes. Kind of annoying. Other than that they have excellent spring. I;d say these are more suitable for light body paints.

By far one of my favorite sets of brushes for acrylic painting. Nice even bristles that wash well and hold up well. Great for fine lines or bigger paintings. I use these for mixed media, so they take abuse and maintain their shape well. Liquitex has the best paint and brushes, hands down.

Be aware these are short handled, light weight brushes. I would say they are made more for watercolor or gouache. Not so much for heavier acrylics.
