We advise that the lunch box should not be plugged into the car or truck while the engine is switched off. Normally plugging it in while the engine is on will not drain the battery.

Q: can I use the heater separately without launch box ?

Assuming you are referring to the bag as “lunch box”, you can use the heating plate separately to hear food containers but it will not be as fast/effective.
