I replaced a 30-year gasket on an 18-foot wide insulated aluminum garage door with this, good fit with extra left over. The bottom of the 2-inch thick door had an indent, but the plate on this was thick enough to stay flat/not bend even with the supplied screws drilled through it into the bottom. Instead of WD-40 others state using I opted for a hand spray bottle with diluted liquid dish detergent as the mfr. directed so the gasket slid in fairly easily without leaving any petrochemical residue. It definitely goes easier with two people, and the last section is a bit tricky because the guide rail is in the way of the rubber gasket (the plate you can measure the opposite end to cut it and then flip 180 degrees. I ended up using a plastic tool normally used to install molding in my car, as a way to force the last few feet of the rubber gasket into the slots of the plate. SOO much better than the old gasket. I would definitely buy this one again, along with the rubber threshold that is glued to the concrete lip, also from Amazon. Good value and functionality. We've had driving rainstorms from the north, and not a drop inside the door.

Works very well. The garage door didn’t want to operate correctly at first. I solved this issue by releasing the garage door opener and closed it manually causing the bristles to splay outward. I left it closed for a couple of days and also put my heat gun to it in order to soften them up and develop some memory of the closed position. I don’t know if that part was needed but it closes perfectly every time now.

It is extremely hard to put into insert channel, plus, It may be too high and your garage door opener will retract and not close. I had to cut the rubber seal to make it just a flap so my door would close.

Works well. Easy to install. Indoe not use the sweep ans it seals well.
