I bought this at the end of Nov 2024 at the bargain price of £99.99. My previous epilator (also Braun) still works although quite a few years old now. I saw this offer and just couldn't resist. Much more convenient to use because of being rechargeable with no trailing lead. The pivoting head is also an improvement. I notice that it is still available (today 27 Dec 2024) at a bargain price at almost 50% discount.

First time using an epilator and would of never imagined it being almost pain free. Under my arms I made sure skin was clean & dry, then used a little talc to make the epilator glide, on a scale of 1 to 10 pain was maybe a 2 to 3. For my legs, I had a hot soak in a bath for 10mins and used the epilator, on a scale of 1 to 10 pain was 2 to 3. I have an extremely low pain fresh hold so was expecting to be in tears & screaming expletives, so really amazed at myself. Must add though I was 2 glasses of Prosecco in (maybe that's the key)

The worst epilator I have ever seen in my life. I had an old one, bought 8 years ago and wanted to use something cordless so decided to go with the same brand but I definitely can say that it’s not an epilator, it’s more like a shaver. I’m still trying to recover some areas because they look like I used a gillet on it. Not recommended.

Is it effective? Seems so: it tackles the problem at the root.Is it painful? Extremely, and I’m no stranger to pain. In my opinion, waxing is less painful although less comfortable and portable (therefore, I bought this).I’ve been using epilators since I was a teenager, and this is definitely the most painful one I’ve tried; perhaps because it’s the most effective?The massage cap doesn’t help; in fact, it gives me the impression that it breaks the hair rather than removing it properly, so I avoid using it.As for the plug, it comes with an EU plug, so I have to use the same adapter as I do for my Oral-B toothbrush. It would be nice if they offered a UK plug option.

Madam very happy with present. She wondered why she has suffered her very old model for so long. Little irritated with Braun having different model numbers, with the addition of minor accessories. The prices can fluctuate quite considerably, so you should make sure you are comparing 'like for like'.

I've been using Braun epilators for years, but this one is by far the best yet. It's quick and even takes out really small hairs. Quick to charge and light and ergonomic to use. Five stars from me
