Monument455e Tap Reseating Tool

not deep enough for my bath mixer tap.used hand held and I did the job.lovely piece of machining, cutter is very sharp, don't use a power drill unless you KNOW what you are doing!!Hand worked is adequate..Storing mine in a ziplock bag with a liberal coating of WD40 ( it arrived with rust spots- no biggy) I'll then find a pencil case to put that in to keep all the bits together.

This really is a piece of old fashioned engineering. Beautifully made, but I had to return mine as the particular wash basin mixer tap I wanted to reseat, was recessed too far into the body for me to cut with this tool. No problem whatsoever with returning the item. I'm sure it will be perfect for 99% of applications. Just a shame for the tap I needed to reseat, it couldn't reach. If I were a plumber I would use this many times, but for a DIYer who has few taps, there was no point in keeping it.

Bought it for my son, he says its sturdy and does what he needs it to do. That's enough for me!

I had not used a device like this before, but once I realised that you need to turn it gently and without much force, it worked well. It is well constructed and will last a long time, I expect.

The tool is easy to use, and suits different size taps. Well made.

A well made and very useful piece of equipment that is also robustly made and easy to use on a variety of taps and water outlet fixings. Does a nice job of facing (while changing a seal washer) and re-seating. Clean after use and protect with a light oil film.

Great product, however it doesn't come with a case at all which seems strange considering there are 5 loose cutting wheels. I now have to source a suitable case for this product which shouldn't be a concern after spending £40 on it. Mine also arrived with small rust spots.

Item broke after 4 months, contacted manufacturer who are unwilling to help as apparently Amazon purchased from a third party supplier. Buyer beware, no apparent way of getting a resolution through Amazon.
