I can’t really feel a difference but there hasn’t been a downside either. The capsules are easy to swallow though!

I started taking this saffron supplement because saffron is reported to have many health benefits. This particular bottle is listed to have 88.5 mg of saffron. The capsules are quick release tablets and directions say to take one capsule in the morning with food and one in the evening with food. In my research, some of the benefits of saffron is that it helps calm the mind and it can also help to support digestion and appetite control. Of course, more definitive research needs to happen on this wonderful spice, but I am willing to give it a try. It does come with a disclaimer to make sure you check with your doctor before taking any supplement. That said, I have not had any adverse reactions. I can't say if I feel any different from taking the supplement or that my appetite has changed but I'm giving it five stars because it has not had a negative impact on me. I would say if you're willing to give it a try to go for it because it seems to be made with good ingredients and saffron is a good spice that is used in many culinary dishes.

I have tried more than a few saffron supplement brands and this one is my go to, thus far.Here are a few reasons I like it: this is made in the USA by a company which has been around for more than a few years (note, that doesn't mean the ingredients are from the USA, however), it is reasonably priced, there are minimal fillers, capsules are easy to take without any taste or side effects any time of day, it comes in a small bottle that fits on my shelf, and it is a supposedly quick release capsule.I take saffron daily to help me curb hunger cravings and it does help take the edge off, so I can stick to my resolutions for a healthy diet. This comes in the most common dosage, 88.5mg, you will find for saffron supplements on the market.

I received the product timely and it appeared to be in good condition. However, I'm finding multiple empty capsules in the bottle.

If you are familiar with saffron and cook with it regularly, you might think you don't need this supplement. The extract is significantly more potent than the saffron threads. There are claims that it has many health benefits, but none of these claims have been proven. I highly suggest opening the capsules and mixing the saffron extract with a cold drink. It tastes too good to be taken in a capsule. I tasted the extract, which turned orange and tasted fresh and fragrant. I'm impressed with the quality of the saffron extract. I have had some bad experiences with purchasing weak and expired saffron. But, in this instance, I'm beyond pleased and will not hesitate to repurchase it from this company. There are no cutting corners. The extract is tested and packaged in the USA.

I've been reading a lot about adrenal fatigue, and how to support healthy cortisol levels, and Saffron was a supplement recommended to aid with those issues, especially in regards to energy.
