I'm actually using this as a way to light my wife's library shelves for a temp solution until I can run permanent LED lighting. It is a rechargeable light, so you don't need a permanent power source, but you will need to charge it occasionally depending on length of use. So far its been on about 10 minutes a day for the last 2 weeks and is still bright. It has a magnet you can use for mounting, which is the option I chose. It is lightweight, but seems well built, I mean, you're not going to be hammering with it, right? The light is adjustable, so if you wanted to point it up instead of down you can. I suppose your imagination is the limit. For 25-30 dollars this is a good deal, and looks fancier than the cost implies.

Only good for small frames. My wall art is 30x60 and illumination only covers 20”x20” . Worst of all base to light distance small so the light shines mostly on the base first. For the price it is heck of a solution but it failed my purpose for a bigger frame. FYI .. this fixture is 15+ inches long. Update - after adjusting the angle and a different light setting, it s covering better. I had going on for 4hrs after a full charge, there is no dimming effect so the battery was holding up. Increased 1 star ..

The picture over the mantle is my all-time favorite and I wanted it to stand out more. I found this and decided to give it a try. When I told my wife, her first comment was about if we didn't like it, will there be mounting holes. Well... no. What I didn't know when I bought it, is that you can either mount is with screws, there is also a metal plate with adhesive, and magnets in the light to mount it. So very easy mounting and very easy removing when it's time to recharge. The remote is great and you can set the light on a timer, in addition to brightness and "warmth". It even has a small level so you can make sure it's straight. A great purchase.
