Approximate age: 8 and up. There are a lot of YouTube videos and Pinterest pages that teach various painting effects. I recommend wearing gloves. The kit arrives with 20 paints – see attached picture. There are many things I like about this kit:The paint can be used on canvas and certain materials like cotton. I wouldn’t recommend for silk or polyesters or material that doesn’t absorb easily. I like that the kit contains so many colors. You don’t need to use a lot for it to work.This also gave me other ideas for water paint work. This is a fun craft that you will enjoy whether you are a beginner or paint expert, you can do this art.

I only received part of the paints that were to be included in this kit so I have limited ability to give this a full review. I did reach out and informed the seller when I received the kit (approx 2 weeks ago) but have not gotten a response so I can say that the customer service is not there.As for the paints themselves, they look like liquid watercolors but that's not what I was under the impression that I would be getting. From the description, I thought they would be fluid for paint pouring but the information on the box said to pour the paints onto a base of water to create your design and then put your canvas on top of that to transfer the paint. Made no sense to me but I tried it and am not impressed. The instructions were difficult to understand and weren't clear what the process should be. It ended up being a frustrating experience and, unless you know exactly how to use this product, I can't recommend.Also, please be aware that this product contains turpentine and lacquer! Had I known that upfront, I wouldn't have selected this kit.
