I use lip balm constantly — you could say I’m a bit addicted — so I know when one works and when it doesn’t. I recently tried a “clean” balm from a health food store that came highly recommended, but it completely backfired. My lips became severely chapped and even swollen. I ordered Dr. Dan’s Cortibalm based on the reviews, and I’m so glad I did. It gave me immediate relief! What surprised me most is that I don’t have to reapply it constantly — it’s super hydrating and really helps heal, not just mask the dryness. I’ll definitely be sticking with this one from now on!

Due to medication and working outside, my lips are always peeling and dry. They burn from the dryness and crack and split constantly. I have tried almost everything and have spent way too much money to not see results. I walk around with lip balm in my hands because I put it on so often.First time I put this on, it felt just like everything else. But then 4 hours later, I realized I hadn't needed to put more lip goo on. That night I put more on before bed and woke up with moisturized lips! After a week, my lips are a light pink and have quit peeling. They are no longer an angry red and dry. I only use this cortibalm in the morning, after lunch and then at bed time. I no longer need to reapply all day every few minutes.Highly recommend for dry lips!

This is the only lip balm that really helped my dry, irritated lips. It smells a bit odd at first, but that goes away quickly. Now it's part of my daily routine - totally worth it for the results.

After trying numerous “extreme dry” lip ointments, I saw this and had to try. Hydrocortisone is a go to. I will never buy anything else. I can tell when I get lax on using it, it lasts a while

Update at Bottom:I’ve been on Accutane since November 2024, and as expected, the extreme dryness has taken a serious toll—especially on my lips. They became painfully blistered, cracked, and incredibly uncomfortable.Following my dermatologist’s recommendation, I decided to try Cortibalm chapstick. I was hesitant after reading reviews where some people experienced worsening symptoms or bad reactions, but at that point, I was willing to try almost anything.When my order arrived, I applied the Cortibalm to my lips and the surrounding area. Within about 10 minutes, I felt something strange. When I wiped my mouth, an entire layer of dead skin came off in my hand—it was the most bizarre experience! I continued applying Cortibalm throughout the day as instructed, and by the next morning, I woke up to an amazing surprise: my lips were practically healed.If you’re struggling with Accutane-induced dryness, I highly recommend giving this product a try. It has completely changed the game for me, and I’m excited to see how it continues to improve my skin!Update: It works short term. Meaning eventually it does lose effectiveness. It is also not meant to be used long term anyway. Although my lips are back to busted - it is still the best product I have used while on Accutane for lip dryness.

I suffer from chronic dry lips which I’m always constantly biting of dry pieces with my teeth! I have tried so many products to help me relieve this problem with no avail. I have finally found this wonderful product. After the first day I saw results! I’m so happy! This chapsticks applies on smoothly and my lips feel silky and moist.
