Q: Do I need to install a check valve right above pump? It sseem like a very well made system except the plastic valve

I believe it has a built in check valve but I added another about 80’ above the pump. BTW, this pump lasted 1 day, and the pump bent way from the motor. I had to pull my pump again and sent the unit back for a refund. I went with a more expensive Franklin and it’s working like a charm.

Q: Where is this pump made?

I dont know but i needed a submersible pump and i "fliped the coin" for yes or no about purchasing this product and i ended up buying it in 2016, im glad i did it works great with no problems, in 2017 i purchased another one for onothet location based on the performance of the firtsone, both places have had exelent water flow and that my friend helped me make a buying desition. Made in china, mexico or united states it doesnt matter, the only thing i can say is am satisfied and i wont have buyers remorse about netherone of this two pumps. They are worth the price and worth the try.
